We develop, design and fabricate filtration systems for solid/liquid separation in the processing industries as well as Vibratory Mixers. Our main products are the FUNDABAC® and CONTIBAC® Candle Filters with more than 3500 in operation worldwide and approximately 150 new systems put in place every year. Applications and uses are widespread in various industries, such as Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Polymers, Oil & Gas, Mineral & Metals, Pharmaceuticals, Food and Electronics.
Filtration Systems
We produce sophisticated, highly automated and fully enclosed filtration systems for the chemical and process industry. Our filters are for either wet or dry discharge, or alternatively for semi or fully continuous thickening. System benefits include high efficiency solids removal, precious metals (catalyst) recovery, patented heel volume filtration, cake washing, cake drying and in-situ cleaning of the filter media.
Test Filter Systems
We at DrM believe that lab scale and pilot testing are indispensable tools for selection, sizing and validation of process equipment.
This is why we offer a unique fleet of testing and rental equipment ranging from a 0.001 m2 lab Nutsche, via our 0.012 m2 TSD pocket filter and mono-candle pilot units up to full scale production skids. Our skilled laboratory staff and process specialists are at your disposal to solve almost every filtration problem.
Contained Liquid Filters
Our contained liquid filter, the FUNDASHIELD, addresses containment issues during the change of cartridges especially when it concerns smaller batches. the filter elements are enclosed in a plastic bag and isolated from the environment.
The elements are back-washable and allow cyclic operation to prolong the lifetime significantly. The filter comes in two different executions.
Mixing Systems
DrM’s FUNDAMIX® Vibromixers mix liquids strictly by vibration. The absence of moving parts results in vortex-less mixing and homogeneous distribution and emulsification. Excellent pharmaceutical, microbiological and biochemical applications include insulin production, blood fractionations, preparation of sterile solutions, mixing of injectable suspensions in sterile vessels for ampoule filling, vaccine/oil emulsions, anaerobic fermentations, submerse culture of mammalian and plant cells, as well as protein solutions.
FUNDAWAVE® Crossflow Filtration
The FUNDAWAVE® is a new filtration concept which targets applications that so far could not give satisfactory results with any type solid/liquid separation equipment. The equipment is based on the cross-flow principle with membrane-based filtering media adapted to specific filtration duties. The flow rate is maintained by constantly removing the solids layer forming on the membrane. In contrast to standard tangential flow filtration equipment (TFF) the cross-flow is accomplished by movement of the filter membrane across a stationary liquid.
